Structures Technician (SUS)

Job Summary
Layout, fabricate, assemble, and install precision aircraft structures, parts, and mechanical assemblies using blueprints, engineering drawings, and process specifications. Coordinate hole patterns, cutouts, and mating points with precision instruments while attaching structural components via riveting and power tools. Drill, route, ream, and modify parts to accommodate mold line or configuration changes, incorporating major engineering modifications as required. Perform experimental and developmental work operations on aircraft or assemblies while maintaining a clean work area. Present a neat workspace to customers and execute other duties as assigned within the sheet metal department of our private aircraft facility.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years heavy structural experience
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience with various types of aircraft, power plant maintenance and inspections
- Working knowledge of rigging and installation of operating mechanisms structures, assemblies and parts, related systems and equipment, and assembly shop practices
- Requires excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments
- Planning and organizational skills necessary
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to pass background check and achieve airport badge
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate desired, not required
