Job Summary
Layout, fabricate, assemble, mate, install, check, and repair production and prototype aircraft structures, parts, and mechanical assemblies for private aircraft. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine operation sequences, using precision instruments to coordinate hole patterns and cutouts. Attach structural components using riveting and power tools, drill, route, and modify parts to accommodate engineering changes. Perform experimental work operations and incorporate major modifications while maintaining a clean work area. Requires rotating 4-on/3-off 11-12 hour shifts covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have minimum three years of heavy structural experience and five years in aircraft maintenance. Airframe and Powerplant certificate desired. Located in St Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years heavy structural experience
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience with various types of aircraft, power plant maintenance and inspections
- Working knowledge of rigging and installation of operating mechanisms structures, assemblies and parts, related systems and equipment, and assembly shop practices
- Requires excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments
- Planning and organizational skills necessary
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to pass background check and achieve airport badge
- Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be available for rotating 4 days on and 3 days off 11 to 12-hour shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate desired, not required
