Structures Technician (SUS)

Job Summary
Layout, fabricate, assemble, and install precision aircraft structures and mechanical assemblies using blueprints, engineering drawings, and process specifications. Coordinate hole patterns, cutouts, and mating points with precision measuring instruments, then attach structural parts using riveting and hand or power tools. Drill, route, ream, countersink, and spot-face components, while modifying or rebuilding parts to accommodate mold line or configuration changes. Perform experimental and developmental work operations, incorporate major engineering changes, and present a clean work area for customer inspection. This rotating 4-on/3-off schedule includes 11- to 12-hour shifts covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays in St. Louis, MO. An Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate is desired, with a minimum of three years in heavy structural experience and five years in aircraft maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years heavy structural experience
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience with various types of aircraft, power plant maintenance and inspections
- Working knowledge of rigging and installation of operating mechanisms structures, assemblies and parts, related systems and equipment, and assembly shop practices
- Requires excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to effectively coordinate with multiple departments
- Planning and organizational skills necessary
- Computer experience in Microsoft Office software products
- Ability to pass background check and achieve airport badge
Desired Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate desired, not required
