Job Summary
Aircraft Structures Technician at Elliott Aviation in Moline, IL. Responsible for inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of airframe and structural systems, composites and components to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance of business aircraft. Tasks include reading blueprints and modification drawings, interpreting engineering orders and service bulletins, ensuring proper parts ordering and documentation, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Top candidates possess a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of aviation structural experience, an A&P certificate or willingness to obtain it, ability to obtain an airport AOA badge, knowledge of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145, and strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years related aviation experience specific to structural repair and modification
- Experience working on and troubleshooting aircraft components and airframe systems
- A&P certificate or willingness to obtain the certificate
- Ability to obtain and retain an airport AOA badge
- Knowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145
- Ability to work overtime and various shifts as business needs require
- Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor
- Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manuals
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to work
- Must be authorized to work in the USA.
