Job Summary
Lead the planning, design, and execution of structural engineering projects primarily in the transportation market, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality control. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders while providing technical expertise in structural analysis, design, and materials selection. Oversee and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure compliance with applicable codes and industry standards. Develop, review, and approve project documentation, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and identify risks to resolve technical challenges. Support business development through proposal preparation and client presentations. Requires a PE or SE license, 15+ years of experience, and proficiency in structural analysis software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license
- 15+ years of experience in structural engineering and project management
- Proven track record of managing structural projects
- Project and/or client management experience
- Ability to guide junior staff as well as participate in the design and detailing of all aspects of small- to large-scale structural projects of varying technical complexity
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Teams
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, as well as time management skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client needs and deadlines, as well as other assigned project parameters
- Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
