Job Summary
Perform aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and installations in accordance with approved technical data, structural repair manuals, and engineering drawings. Remove and replace damaged skin, panels, frames, and stringers while drilling, countersinking, reaming, and installing rivets. Lay out, fabricate, fit, and install sheet metal parts, executing corrosion removal, treatment, and prevention procedures. Measure, cut, bend, and form components using approved tools to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications. Maintain a clean work area following all safety policies. Must be willing to work overtime and possess basic aircraft structures hand tools. Previous commercial or military aircraft structures experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Aviation Services – Birmingham, Alabama
- Ability to read and interpret structural repair manuals (SRMs), engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Experience performing aircraft structural repairs and sheet metal fabrication
- Proficient in drilling, riveting, fitting, and installing aircraft structural components
- Knowledge of corrosion identification and repair procedures
- Must have basic aircraft structures hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be willing to work overtime as requested
