Job Summary
Entry-level Structures Engineer to support design and delivery of transportation structures for FDOT and local municipalities in Tampa, focusing on bridge design, calculations, and production of engineering drawings for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects; assist with quantity tabulations, RFIs, shop drawing submittals, and design analyses, using AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenBridge Modeler, MathCAD, and MS Office; collaborate with team and pursue certification and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Fundamentals of Engineering (EI) certification or ability to obtain certification
- 0-4 years of structural engineering experience
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, MathCAD, and OpenBridge Modeler
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Desired Qualifications
- ABET-accredited university
- Master of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering (preferred)
- PhD candidates encouraged to apply
