Job Summary
Join Astro Mechanica as a Structures Design Engineer, contributing to the design and analysis of composite and metallic structures for high-performance aircraft. Responsibilities include CAD modeling, structural layout development, trade studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field, 3-10 years of structural design experience, and familiarity with relevant materials and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field
- 3-10 years of experience in structural design and analysis
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with composite and metallic materials
- Hands-on proficiency in CAD (e.g. NX, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Exposure to structural analysis methods (hand calculations, FEA tools such as Nastran, Abaqus, or Ansys)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
- Enthusiasm for learning and building
Additional Requirements
