Job Summary
As a Structures Technician on Voyageur's Structures team, restore/repair defects on CRJ and DH8 aircraft via sheet metal, minor composites, refinishing, painting, and minor machining. Manufacture replacement parts from base metals, fabricate and repair structures using metal, composite, fiberglass, textiles, leather, plastics, and synthetics. Ensure maintenance work complies with applicable legislation, company policies, and procedures; inspect structural components against drawings and manuals; actively participate in safety culture and reporting hazards through the Safety Management System. Requires secondary school completion and a Transport Canada–approved college diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Category S); minimum 6 months of structural repair experience; ability to obtain security clearances; strong communication and Microsoft Office skills; comfortable working in both individual and team environments; prior experience in aircraft maintenance or aerospace is an asset. Eligibility to work legally in Canada with clear background check. Location: North Bay, Ontario, Canada; on-site role; starting wage $23.59/hour with compensation commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school completion
- College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Category S) from a Transport Canada approved facility
- Minimum 6 months of structural repair experience in aviation
- Ability to obtain security clearances and pass company screening
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work effectively in team and individual settings
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada and clear criminal background check
