Job Summary
Structured Cabling Technician needed for NY-based AV/cabling projects. Responsibilities include pulling low voltage cable (Cat5/5e/6/6a), field terminations, rack and stack installations, fiber pulling, and supporting materials such as J-Hooks, cable tray, and ladder rack. Review floor plans, line diagrams, and rack elevations; stage project materials; submit daily reports; interface with customers; maintain clean job sites; and lift heavy loads as needed. Prior experience as a Structured Cabling Technician and reliable, team-focused attitude required.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience working as a Structured Cabling Technician
- Experience with pulling low voltage cable (Cat 5, 5e, 6, 6a, etc.)
- Ability to perform field terminations
- Experience with rack and stack installations
- Experience with Fiber pulling and termination
- Understanding of IDF, MDF and data center builds
- Ability to install cable support materials (J-Hooks, Cable Tray, Ladder Rack)
- Capable of reviewing floor plans and rack elevations
- Submit Daily Reports to office outlining status and work performed
- Interface with customers representing the company with respect and integrity
- Able to lift over 50 lb
- Good attitude and teamwork
