Job Summary
Pull, cut, and terminate cables while identifying types such as CAT 6, Fiber, and HDMI. Install, connect, and manage video routers, switches, and cameras. Mount and dress displays of various sizes, including wall panels. Program proprietary equipment and troubleshoot complex audio-video systems. Manage inventory of repair parts, recording serial model numbers. Complete daily reports, project photos, timecards, and update project status. Read wire diagrams, reflected ceiling plans, and room flow diagrams. Fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels and closets. Perform all work in compliance with safety provisions and project scopes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, technical trade school or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of experience in audio-video integration technical environment
- Proficient with voltage meter, soldering iron, tone generator, multimeter, cable toners, striping cables and network cable testers
- Ability to dress racks
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate reflected ceiling plans, elevation drawings and room flow diagrams
- Ability to identify and understand various source plates
- Knowledge of basics of AC/DC voltage
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to use various web-based portals
- Ability to fit into tight spaces including ceiling access panels, closets, interstitial spaces
- Ability to quickly learn new computer programs and operate mobile devices
- Ability to make sound decisions and escalate matters quickly and efficiently
- Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
- 100% travel to reach project locations
