Job Summary
Perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures in the Fort Pierce, FL area while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. Execute roadway construction and maintenance tasks, maintain and operate construction tools safely, and carry out simple arithmetic functions. Maintain proper safety equipment, adapt to changing schedules including nights and weekends, and work under varying environmental conditions. Must have transportation to the office, a clean driving record, and pass criminal background checks. Full-time role with on-call availability and flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- Clean driving record
- Must pass criminal background check
- Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge/structure repair and maintenance
- Must have transportation to and from Company office
- Ability to take direction
- Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures
- Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner
- High School Diploma/GED
- Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
- Must be flexible and available to work on-call when required
- Day shift & Night shift needed
Desired Qualifications
- Full bilingual Spanish/English
- Roadway maintenance or construction skills
- MOT Certifications Advanced
- General knowledge of reading/understanding plans and specifications for structures
- CDL license preferred, but not required
