Job Summary
Structural Welders needed for shipyard work in San Diego area. Responsibilities include performing structural welding using FCAW on various positions (2F-4F VT tests, 2G-4G VT/UT tests, 1G-3G VT/UT tests) with a focus on flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal welds, and ceramic tape backing. Must read and follow written and verbal instructions in English, be able to hear warning signals, and comply with safety instructions and regulations. Required to pass background, vision, and drug tests and be available for any shift and overtime. Welding simulations and butt joint tests (including ceramic backing) form part of testing. Per diem offered for eligible candidates. Walk-ins welcome. Company: Labor One. Locations referenced include Bremerton, WA and National City, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of experience in steel welding and flux core arc welding processes
- Proficient in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal welding
- Ceramic Tape experience
- Must comprehend written and verbal instructions (in English)
- Must be able to hear warning signals, read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations and warnings
- Must pass a background check, vision test and drug test
- Must be able to work any shift and overtime
- FCAW and fillet weld tests (2F-4F VT, 2G-4G VT/UT, 1G-3G VT/UT)
- Simulation tests (2F-3F 36", 3F-4F 36", 2F-4F 6"); travel times not specified
