Job Summary
Operate cutting and heating torches, perform basic crane operations, and check tolerances of fits while applying corrective actions per AWS D1.5 guidelines. Layout, position, and align fabricated pipe metal products in accordance with blueprints and ASME codes. Produce finished products meeting recognized standards and customer expectations by maintaining quality procedures within specified fitting tolerances. Safely perform all job duties, including daily housekeeping, and comply with company policies and safety initiatives. Work Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm with occasional evenings, weekends, and extended hours based on workload. This role supports Tri-W Global's fabrication, re-certification, and part sales operations across Texas and Ohio facilities.
Required Qualifications
- reading and interpreting weld symbols on shop drawings/prints and applying the information accordingly
- passing a preliminary weld test (e.g. GMAW, FACW and SMAW)
- being familiar with the arc gouging process
- having at least one to two years of welding experience
- be able to layout, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of pipe metal products in accordance with blueprints, layout specifications and ASME codes and standards
- be able to pass all pre-employment screening and background checks
Desired Qualifications
- ability to weld nozzles, stack beads and/or cut bevels is desirable
