Job Summary
Structural Welder on the Massey’s Test Site night shift fabricates and repairs ground support equipment stands and structures for SpaceX launches, interprets engineering drawings, and uses FCAW/SMAW/GMAW techniques with AWS/ASME standards to build, inspect, and weld high-quality structural forms for aerospace applications. The role emphasizes performing welding assignments, cutting and fabricating components to precise dimensions, inspecting welds per AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3, and maintaining safety and compliance while coordinating with lead welders and other teams on a fast-paced night shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with flux-cored arc welding (FCAW)
Additional Requirements
- U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR)
