Required Qualifications

• •4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• •Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• •Must be able to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements
• •Must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights
• •Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required
• •Must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman
• •Must be able to work different shifts and overtime as required
• •Must be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
• •Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions
• •Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction)
• •Must be able to hear well (either naturally or with correction)
• •Ability to visualize objects in three dimensions from drawings
• •Must be able to maintain physical strength and stamina
• •Must be able to coordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet

• •Must be able to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume
• •Must be able to rate information using standards that can be measured or checked work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• •Must be able to look at flat drawings, pictures, and blueprints and visualize objects in three-dimensions from plans and drawings
• •Must be able to see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings
• •Must be able to recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings
• •Must be able to evaluate information based on measurable standards
• •Must be able to perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW and other mixed type of welds based on project needs
• •Must be able to select proper fillers for welding task based on welding procedure specifications
• •Must be able to prepare welding surfaces per welding procedure to achieve proper joint detail
• •Must be able to field install welds, including, but not limited to: Structural; duct work, hoppers, bag house's, attachment points for Electricians, Ironworkers, and Pipefitters
• •Must be able to Pipe including, but not limited to, Stainless steel, various types of chrome, and carbon pipe
• •Must be able to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, weld symbols, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand
• •Must be able to Follows project specifications, Quality Control program documents and understand WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications)
• •Must be able to Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations
• •Must be able to When on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors
• •Must be able to Set a personal example of safe behavior
• •Must be able to Work under production schedule pressure
