STRUCTURAL WELDER JOURNEYMAN ESR

Structural Welder responsible for welding structural portions of marine vessels, including hulls, superstructures, masts, pilot house, and engine rooms, using wire feed and stick welding to support fabrication, assembly, subassembly, and final erection. Tasks include welding out panels and assemblies, fillet, butt-weld, socket, and mitered joints in various positions (root passes, hangers, repairs), setting up and operating MIG welders for watertight and skip weld patterns, preparing surfaces, maintaining equipment, ensuring safety and housekeeping, and collaborating with team members. Requires reading blueprints/specifications, working with aluminum, stainless, copper-nickel, and mild steel, and complying with shipyard safety practices; must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
