Job Summary
Set up, tack, and weld ferrous and nonferrous materials, ensuring compliance with applicable welding codes. Perform aesthetic welding duties and apply inspection criteria. Responsibilities include cutting, grinding, fitting, and deburring parts, testing welds for quality, and reworking as necessary. The role requires reading complicated drawings and using welding tools and mathematics. A minimum of four years of high school education along with technical welding training is required, alongside a GMAW certification or relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to four years of high school plus technical training in welding
- Must pass any required tests associated with applicable standards including AWS, ISO, MIL STD, International, ASNT
- GMAW Certification or 3-5 years of equivalent experience
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience welding large, heavy industrial equipment
- Experience welding with stainless steel filler metal and associated equipment
