Job Summary
Conduct FCAW (Flux Core) welding on structural steel members and assist fitters in assembling detail work and tack welding. Safely rig materials using chains and clamps while operating overhead and jib cranes to move heavy components. Ensure all material edges are de-burred and finished presentation meets company standards while maintaining active participation in safe work performance. Requires 2 years of structural steel welding experience and the ability to lift up to 50+ pounds. Work closely with the team in the assigned area to ensure optimum workflow.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience welding structural steel
- Experience with FCAW Welding
- Commitment to safe work
- Ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time
- Lift and carry materials or tools weighing up to 50+ pounds
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots as required
