Job Summary
Structural Steel Project Manager needed to oversee project delivery from end of sales cycle through completion. Responsible for coordinating sub-contractors, detailing and fabrication teams to deliver steel packages on time and within budget. Communicate with contractor representatives, ESP management, and subs; identify opportunities for additional work; visit job sites to document scope; use estimating tools to price projects and perform take-offs; negotiate with customers and subcontractors; issue purchase orders; coordinate schedules; manage costs; release materials to shop; coordinate inspections; process change orders and closeout paperwork; ensure proper billing; work with service team on opportunities; strong proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam/AutoCAD and MS Office; requires 7+ years PM experience in construction and excellent communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry preferred
- Experience with industry specific software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD) is a plus
- Basic knowledge of construction documents
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time
- Lift and carry materials or tools weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Occasional exposure to varying weather conditions when visiting outdoor project sites
- Ability to wear PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, gloves, and steel-toed boots as required
