Job Summary
Manages structural steel fabrication and erection projects from initiation through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality. Reviews drawings, coordinates with fabrication shops, field crews, and general contractors. Develops schedules, tracks progress, oversees procurement, monitors costs, ensures OSHA compliance, conducts site visits and meetings, handles RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation. Requires min 5 years in structural steel fabrication/erection, strong blueprint reading, knowledge of AWS/AISC, experience with Tekla is a plus, proficient in MS Office and scheduling tools, excellent communication and leadership, safety-focused.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing structural steel fabrication or erection projects
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of structural steel processes and industry standards such as AWS and AISC
- Experience coordinating with fabrication teams, field crews, and subcontractors
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Experience managing budgets and project costs
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling tools
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
- Understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices
- Experience with Tekla Structures or Tekla PowerFab is a plus
