Job Summary
Geotechnical Consultants Inc. seeks a Structural Steel Inspector to perform on-site observations of steel construction projects. Candidates should have relevant certifications and experience, with a strong willingness to work outdoors under various conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Current AWS-CWI or ICC-S1 & S2 certification
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
- Valid driver’s license
- Effective speaking and written communication skills in English
- Ability to safely traverse construction sites
- Ability to travel up to 4 hours a day and walk/stand up to 8 hours a day
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a welding inspector or in a quality control position
- Proficient in reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications at a minimum Level I for MT, PT, or UT
- Experience in the construction or fabrication industries
- Associate Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering
