Job Summary
GCI is seeking a full-time Structural Steel Inspector for on-site observations of steel construction projects. Requires AWS-CWI or ICC-S1 & S2 certification, and 5+ years experience. Associates degree preferred. Offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Current AWS-CWI or ICC-S1 & S2 certification
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
- Valid driver’s license
- Effective speaking and written communication skills in English
- Ability to travel up to 4 hours a day and walk/stand up to 8 hours a day
- Desire to work outside in all weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a welding inspector or in a quality control position
- Proficient in reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications
- Experience in the construction or fabrication industries
- Associate Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering
Additional Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
- Background check results must be acceptable for entrance to government sites and chemical plants.
