Job Summary
Structural Staff Engineer to perform full life-cycle building design from kick-off to construction documents and construction oversight in San Diego, CA. Will produce engineering documents including reports, calculations, and drawings; coordinate with clients on technical design issues and submittals. Requires proficiency with design software such as RISA, Enercalc, RAM, Bluebeam, and REVIT to generate construction drawings. Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Architectural, Structural or Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis from an ABET-accredited program, has passed the FE exam (California PE license strongly preferred), and has 2-5 years of related building-design experience. Experience with Revit (preferred), high seismic design (SDC D/E/F) and exposure to high wind or blast-resistant design is a plus. The role entails on-site/hybrid work in San Diego with travel up to 10% and offers a competitive base salary ($90k-$105k) plus benefits. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Architectural, Structural or Civil with Structural Engineering Emphasis from ABET accredited school
- FE exam passed or Eligibility; California PE license strongly preferred
- 2-5 years of related experience in building design
- Experience with Revit (preferred)
- Experience with design software such as RISA, Enercalc, RAM, Bluebeam, REVIT to produce construction drawings
- Strong time management skills and self-starter
- Experience in building foundations, framing systems, and lateral system design
- Experience with high seismic structural design (SDC D, E or F) strongly desired, high wind, and/or blast-resistant design a plus
