Job Summary
Structural Repair Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to support SRM development for Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Seal Beach, CA. Responsibilities include integrating data from production/retrofit drawings and customer information to ensure complete SRM procedures, coordinating with FAA E-UMs and IPT groups to ensure regulatory compliance and feasibility, managing work assignments with internal/external stakeholders, analyzing customer technical queries to provide retrofit/repair solutions, validating systems against requirements using analytical and test results, researching and applying SRM data with tools like ENOVIA, CATIA, and IVT, and contributing to SRM updates to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role is 100% onsite in Seal Beach, CA. Basic qualifications include a BS in engineering and at least 3 years of structural design experience; preferred qualifications include 5+ years and experience with CATIA/ENVOVIA/PDM, FAA regulatory experience, and MRO experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials Sciences)
- 3+ years’ experience with structural design principles for repair and maintenance (e.g., fatigue, damage tolerance, corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques)
- 3+ years’ experience coordinating across multiple disciplines to develop repair data (preferred)
- Experience with engineering tools such as CATIA, ENOVIA, and/or PDM (preferred)
- Experience with FAA continued airworthiness requirements (preferred)
- Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations and environment (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills (preferred)
