Job Summary
Structural Project Manager to design gravity, lateral, and foundation systems for new and retrofit buildings in high seismic zones; perform structural analysis using ETABS, RISA, SAFE, RAM Steel; develop construction documents; supervise junior engineers; coordinate across disciplines; provide technical guidance and oversight; collaborate with BIM; participate in project delivery from planning to construction; hybrid work arrangement with initial in-office presence in Downtown Los Angeles.
Required Qualifications
- Seven years of full-time work experience as an engineer in a structural consulting organization
- BS in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Structures)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Transcripts showing completed courses in Structural Analysis; Mechanics of Materials; Concrete; Steel or Wood Design
- Strong knowledge of codes and standards (ACI 318, AISC 360, ASCE 7, ASCE 41, CBC, CEBC)
- Experience supervising engineers and project teams; ability to mentor and oversee quality control of structural documents
- Experience with structural design software (ETABS, RISA, SAFE, RAM Steel, Enercalc, spCol)
- Ability to design multiple structural materials (concrete, steel, CMU, wood)
- Experience with healthcare, laboratory, or highly regulated facilities, and high seismic hazard zones
- Hybrid work schedule with in-office requirements initially for training period
- Duties include design of gravity, lateral, and foundation systems; development of construction documents; coordination with BIM; and technical leadership
