Structural Project Engineer

Structural Project Engineer responsible for providing structural engineering for cooling tower projects across product lines (Crossflow, Counterflow) using concrete, wood, steel, and fiberglass. Develops drawings, engineering specifications, BOMs, quality plans, and assembly procedures; performs design calculations and tests to verify function, evaluates structural integrity against codes and design loads, conducts technical bid evaluations, assists in vendor selection, and expedites vendor manufacturing to meet deadlines. May maintain current tower lines, design new lines (R&D/testing), perform field inspections, and write engineering specifications for tower lines or components. Requires strong communication, initiative, innovation, and ability to manage multiple projects; works under supervision with established procedures. Education: BS in Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineering required; MS preferred. Skills: hand-sketching 2D/3D, AutoCAD, MS Office; PE preferred; knowledge of national building codes and cooling tower design tools; ability to coordinate with sales and field teams; capable of delivering solutions and designs for tower lines and components.
