Job Summary
Complete structural calculations and generate engineering drawings for projects involving bridges, walls, and civil structures using AutoCAD and finite element modeling software. Revise designs, prepare project specifications, and estimate costs while collaborating with planners, landscape architects, and project managers. Perform Level 1 quality assurance and coordinate with entry-level staff to meet scope, schedule, and budget parameters. Manage data references from preliminary design through final construction documents.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree from accredited program in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering
- Professional Engineering licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with an emphasis in structural engineering
- Strong industry relationships and an understanding of municipal, state, and federal criteria
- Demonstrated project and program management experience
- Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing the Company's MVR
- In-depth knowledge of structural finite element and frame modeling software
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to take broad feedback and direction and translate into detailed and highly accurate plans
- Ability to manage data references throughout the duration of projects, from preliminary design and alternative analysis to final design and construction
Desired Qualifications
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience preferred
