Job Summary
Senior Project Manager for large-scale structural steel initiatives in the Metro Kansas City hub. Direct partner to the Vice President, leading lifecycle governance from concept through ribbon-cutting, while cultivating high-level client relationships and driving divisions toward executive leadership. Responsibilities include strategic project stewardship, executive client partnership, division leadership, business development, technical authority over structural calculations per codes, resource and budget coordination, and innovation advocacy. The role blends advanced steel design mastery with business development, offering an accelerated path toward senior leadership in a hands-on, autonomy-rich environment. Core responsibilities also encompass coordinating internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality standards, and translating complex engineering challenges into budget-conscious, implementable solutions. Travel domestically/internationally as project needs dictate. Education and licensure align with civil/structural disciplines; preferred qualifications include a Master’s in Structural Engineering, global mobility, and a track record of multidisciplinary leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain via comity within 12 months
- 8–10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience with emphasis on project management
- Software proficiency: RISA-3D, RAM, Tekla, AutoCAD, and standard PM suites
- Valid US Driver’s License and ability to travel domestically/internationally
