Job Summary
Lead structural analysis, design, and documentation for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects, ensuring full code compliance and constructability. Conduct site assessments, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and manage construction administration to resolve on-site structural issues. Review shop drawings and submittals, optimize designs for cost and sustainability, and mentor junior engineers on technical development. Serve as the primary client contact to manage expectations and present findings, while overseeing project scope, schedule, and budget. Requires six+ years of experience, PE license, and proficiency in structural analysis software. Based in the Sacramento office with occasional site visits involving light lifting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- PE license
- At least six years of relevant full-time experience in structural engineering design
- track record of leading projects independently
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000)
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles, mechanics, and materials
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to lead projects and teams independently
- Six or more years of experience
