Job Summary
Structural Project Engineer leads design and analysis for federal infrastructure and defense-related facilities, supervising multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with DOE orders, UFC criteria, and ATFP standards; develops standard details and specs for government projects; mentors junior staff; participates in R&D and adoption of advanced software; requires PE license and strong background in civil/structural engineering with emphasis on federal/laboratory typologies; on-site three days per week in Albuquerque, NM area (hybrid work arrangement).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- U.S. citizenship
- ability to undergo background adjudication for clearance
- 4 to 8 years of progressive experience in structural analysis, heavy foundation design, and construction document preparation
- MS preferred but not required
- proficiency with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, TMS
- experience with structural analysis/design platforms (RAM, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA)
- ability to relocate to or reside in the Albuquerque, NM metropolitan area
- active federal security clearance preferred
