Job Summary
The Structural Project Engineer will perform detailed design engineering work for projects of moderate size and complexity, specializing in the analysis and design of bridges and roadside structures that meet Florida Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration standards. Responsibilities include preparing engineering calculations and sketches, managing multiple projects to ensure timely completion, and conducting QA/QC for final design packages. The role requires effective communication with team members and clients, providing updates while simultaneously handling multiple projects. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a PE License in Florida are strongly desired, alongside over 6 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university or college
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- 6+ years’ experience in Structural Engineering on Transportation/Roadway projects
- Proven proficiency utilizing various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment
Desired Qualifications

- Proficiency in various computer software packages for engineering
