Job Summary
Serve as the lead engineer on bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, mentoring junior staff and preparing and reviewing structural calculations for bridge design. The role includes managing design processes, performing bridge inspections, and preparing load rating reports to PennDOT/PTC standards. Ideal candidates will have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, a PE License in Pennsylvania, and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed PE in Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 6 years of bridge design, load rating and inspection experience
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Bridge Safety Inspector (CBSI) – not required, but preferred
- Progressive experience with developing contract and utilizing MicroStation Connects, Open Roads and Open Bridge Design software
- Excellent communication and client relation skills
- Experience working with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, PTC and/or municipalities
