Structural Process Control Planner

Job Summary
Compile and distribute work packages with budget and schedule information, then release materials via SAP and implement charge orders and design change notices. Create detailed schedule activities, establish budgets, and develop production hour estimates for first-of-class ships, refining forecasts based on actuals. Assist in creating work activities according to building methods and work breakdown structures, while participating in cross-functional meetings to review production designs and provide feedback on installation timing. Interface with Engineering and Production teams to determine optimal installation methods for parts and equipment, and prepare turnover packages documenting unperformed work. Track pick requests and generate late material reports using Excel.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years' experience in shipbuilding, construction, or manufacturing
- Basic computer skills, proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP (preferred)
- Oracle
- JD Edwards, etc.
- Exposure to scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Experience with 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D CAD software (viewing only) a plus
- Knowledge and experience concerning modern shipbuilding practices is a plus
- Experience with ships' outfitting and machinery equipment is a plus
