Job Summary
Perform structural aircraft repairs using sheet metal techniques, removing and relocating headers, stringers, and bulkheads while installing Service Bulletin kits per OEM specifications. Plan repair schemes utilizing blueprints and technical publications, then use precision instruments to build structural forms like I-beams, doublers, and avionics trays. Inspect aircraft against maintenance manuals, document discrepancies, and record all work accomplished accurately. Analyze mechanical problems to determine causes and best repair methods while fulfilling Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives. Requires three years of aircraft sheet metal fabrication experience and FAA Airframe license. Required Qualifications
- A minimum of three (3) years of aircraft sheet metal fabrication experience
- Prior experience working in the capacity of an Airframe Sheet Metal Specialist, Structural Technician or Aircraft Mechanic
- Experience building I-beams, doublers, stringers, and performing corrosion control
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Desired Qualifications
- A valid FAA Airframe License
- Previous experience building bespoke structures, trays and/or mounts of all sizes and applications
- A valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- Experience working alongside A&P Mechanics and Avionics Technicians performing heavy maintenance, inspections, and repairs
- Corporate / Business Aviation or MRO experience
