Job Summary
Structural Mechanic II performs aircraft structural assembly operations under minimal supervision, reading blueprints/lofts/operation sheets to determine sequence, riveting/assembly of detail parts and structures, sheetmetal layout and fabrication, installation of parts on aircraft, maintaining logs/records, and ensuring conformity to specifications and customer expectations. Responsibilities include riveting assemblies with portable and pneumatic tools, following procedures for adhesives/solvents, inspecting completed work, coordinating with shifts, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. Requires high school diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience; aviation experience preferred; ability to read blueprints, basic shop math, and lift up to 50 lbs; weekend shift availability; must be able to read/write/speak English. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years related structural assembly experience
- Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
