Job Summary

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Safely perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts/assembly meet requirements. Safely perform sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft. Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required (portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers). Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets, cut and form plastics and follow standard operating procedures when using adhesives, sealants, and solvents. Check all work and ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection. Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs). Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners, and shape/form complex angles per blueprint specifications. Make repairs per Discrepant Material Tags (DMT), Material Review Requests (MRR), Production Change Orders (PCO), performing necessary rework to ensure installations meet conformity. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the 5S Program, and comply with safety regulations. Use PPE as required. Able to work with minimal supervision. Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g. Kaizen, YIAW). Properly use and maintain tools and equipment and return items to tool room. Ensure SOPs are followed when operating ground support equipment. Additional responsibilities include waste disposal, accurate daily job charging, and inter-shift communication. Required: read/interpret blueprints, basic computer skills, basic shop math, read/write/speak English, ability to lift 50 lbs and work various shifts. This is a Full-time role located in the US with up to 25% travel. Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position unless otherwise sponsored.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 years related structural assembly experience
  • Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred
  • Must have structural repair experience
