Job Summary
Perform technical design and layout for structural engineering solutions on water, wastewater treatment, and flood protection projects. Exercise engineering judgment to develop facility layouts, select materials, and analyze structures while providing Direct Responsible Charge and mentorship to junior-level engineers. Prepare site development features including access roads, drainage channels, slop stabilization, retaining walls, and detention ponds. Serve as the technical lead for the Structural Engineering department under the guidance of the Department Head. Requires a BA/BS in Civil Engineering with structural focus, PE registration in a US jurisdiction, and a valid driver's license. Relocation assistance is not available.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering Focus or other related field
- 4 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Experience with ACI 350, Code Requirements for Environmental Engineering Concrete Structures, and related codes and standards
- Registration as a professional engineer in a US jurisdiction
- ability to obtain licensure via comity in other US jurisdictions
- A valid U.S. Driver's License
- ability to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites
- ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
- ability to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
- ability to comply with a secure and trustworthy recruitment process
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Focus or other advanced degree
