Structural Inspector (Bridge)

Job Summary
Conduct continuous surveillance of assigned bridge inspection activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications. Inspect site conditions, temporary and permanent works, and construction methods to verify suitability for designed permanent works and approved contract requirements. Direct inspectors, maintain inspection records, and assist in preparing as-built drawings, sang lists, and handover documentation to the operating authority. Observe site safety procedures and provide practical advice on constructional matters. Requires a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering with three years of inspection experience, proficiency in structural design software, and a commitment to safe work practices. Preferred experience includes projects in Dubai, UAE, or the GCC.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized university with minimum 3 years of experience in inspection and rehabilitation of bridges
- Associate Diploma in Civil, or Structural Engineering with minimum 5 years experience in inspection and rehabilitation of bridge projects
- Knowledge and experience using computer software such as MS Office, Structural design software
- Good oral and written communication skills in English and ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff
- Commitment to safe work practices
Desired Qualifications
- Relative project work experience in Dubai, UAE, or GCC in an engineering consulting firm
- Approval from clients and authorities in UAE
