Job Summary
Lead the growth of KPFF's structural engineering group in the Indianapolis market by developing client relationships, securing new work, and expanding the office's local presence. Assist in building and mentoring a high-performing team of engineers and BIM modelers through technical guidance, career development, and recruiting support. Provide technical and project leadership across diverse structural systems and project types from early planning through construction. Help shape office culture, team processes, and long-term strategy while connecting the Indianapolis office with national resources and expertise. This role requires a PE license, 8+ years of progressive experience, and 3+ years leading teams, with flexible core hours of 8:30-4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering
- 8+ years of progressive structural engineering experience
- Experience leading teams of three or more engineers
- Design experience across a wide range of materials, project phases and sectors
- A collaborative leadership style
- Passion for mentoring and growth
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading teams of three or more engineers
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Structural Engineer (SE) license
- Masters degree
- Experience with client development, relationship management, and business development
- Interest in helping grow client partnerships, identify new opportunities, and support the continued expansion of the practice
