Job Summary
Structural Engineering Analyst at AtkinsRéalis in Canada responsible for performing structural analysis, seismic qualification, and design of steel, reinforced concrete, and masonry systems for nuclear and industrial facilities. Lead conceptual through detailed design, produce engineering calculations and documentation using ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, and SSASI, ensure compliance with codes and QA requirements, provide technical direction and QA oversight, and travel to client sites as needed. Required Qualifications
- Civil Engineering degree with 3+ years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures for nuclear power plants and/or industrial facilities
- Master’s degree is an asset
- Strong expertise in static, dynamic, and seismic analysis of structures and foundations
- Proficient in structural analysis software such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE
- Familiarity with Canadian and international civil/structural codes and standards, nuclear QA programs, safety codes, and plant modification processes (e.g., ECC)
- Ability to manage schedules and budgets, with strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and willingness to travel to client sites
