Job Summary
Structural Engineer with computational design skills focused on high-rise and complex buildings. Develop advanced 3D models using Rhino and implement parametric design workflows with Grasshopper. Collaborate with international architects to deliver holistic, innovative design solutions; prepare finite element models to support development; perform optimisation studies; produce technical reports and presentation materials; contribute to team capabilities through continuous learning and collaboration; participate in project meetings and project-driven R&D; work within Ramboll’s global, interdisciplinary teams in an in-person setting in Kuala Lumpur. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or Architecture and 0-2 years of design experience; familiarity with Rhino/Grasshopper and coding (Python/C#) is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or Architecture
- 0-2 years’ experience in design
- Experience within a consultancy environment is an advantage
- Knowledge of, or strong interest in, parametric tools for structural optimisation (e.g. Rhino, Grasshopper)
- Familiarity with coding languages such as Python and/or C# is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to details
- Be an independent problem solver, systematic thinker and research oriented
- Enthusiasm for working within an international team
