Job Summary
Review structure submissions from concept through project letting and provide technical guidance to clients as a subject matter expert. Prepare design computations, quantity estimates, and construction cost estimates while performing structural analysis, geometric layout, and drawing preparation for bridges, culverts, and retaining walls. Assist in analyzing field data, reports, and aerial photographs to plan projects, and use computer-aided engineering software to prepare engineering documents. Support business development through project research and field reconnaissance. This role offers a creative, flexible, and supportive environment for an experienced engineer to contribute to locally sponsored projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 8 years of experience
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior oversight of design teams for County or State bridge projects
- Experience using CADD Software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- PA PE preferred
- PennDOT (including PA counties) design experience preferred
