Structural Engineer

Job Summary
Review structure submissions from project concept through letting, providing technical guidance to clients as a subject matter expert. Prepare design computations, quantity estimates, and construction cost estimates while executing superstructure, substructure, and foundation design tasks. Assist in analyzing field data, reports, and aerial photographs to plan projects, utilizing computer-aided engineering software to prepare engineering documents. Support business development through project research and field reconnaissance for locally sponsored structures including bridges and retaining walls. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required with PA PE preferred and experience using MicroStation or AutoCAD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of experience
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work on multiple projects
- Ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Driver's License
Desired Qualifications
- PA PE preferred
- PennDOT (including PA counties) design experience preferred
- Prior oversight of design teams for County or State bridge projects
- Experience using CADD Software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Desire to learn
- Willingness to work cohesively within a team
- Ability to work on multiple projects
