Job Summary
Perform structural engineering analysis and design for mining industry projects, including steel supports for conveyors, crushers, screens, tanks, pipes, and equipment foundations. Prepare design criteria, loads, 2D and 3D CAD drawings, material take-offs, and bill of material lists while reviewing vendor documents for compliance. Communicate structural details, member sizes, connections, and welds to prepare project drawings and specifications, proposing alternate framing solutions as required. Meet task or project time and budget goals using prescribed methods and relevant steel and building codes. Salary from $106,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university
- four or more years related experience
- Professional Engineering License
- Knowledge of mining and/or bulk material handling industries
- Drawing Software: 2D & 3D using AutoCad
- Drawing Software: 2D & 3D using Advance Steel
- Drawing Software: 2D & 3D using SolidWorks
- Design Software: RISA-3D

- Master's Degree
- Experience with RISA-3D
