Job Summary
Produce design calculations, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for industrial new and retrofit projects. Perform structural modeling and analysis using RISA 3D, RISA Foundation, RISA Connection, and Hilti Profis while ensuring designs meet IBC, ASCE-7, AISC 360, and ACI 318 codes. Oversee drafting and design development within Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, engineer equipment support structures, and lead design coordinators on large-scale assignments. Coordinate with architects, designers, and contractors; review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and conduct site visits. Requires an active P.E. license and proficiency in structural software. Occasional overnight travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Active NCEES-issued Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, RISA, or comparable structural design software
- Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE-7, AISC 360, ACI 318, and related industry codes
- Familiarity with standard structural concepts, practices, and procedures used throughout the engineering field
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Availability for occasional overnight travel
