Job Summary
Structural Engineer to support AECOM's Energy Practice’s Power Delivery initiative with remote/work-flexible setup across US offices. Lead and support substation and switchyard design, develop analytical models for structural steel and concrete, and coordinate with Project Engineers/Managers on workload forecasts, design schedules, and budgets. Prepare technical reports and contract documents, contribute to business development around substation/high-voltage infrastructure, and ensure multi-discipline collaboration for general arrangements, vendor packages, and standards. Occasional travel to Client sites or other AECOM locations. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 4+ years of relevant experience (EIT certification preferred), with proficiency in CAD/3D modeling and structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, MFAD, L-Pile) and PLScadd. Sponsorship available; relocation not required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or a related field
- 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency
- Experience in structural design for overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems
- Experience with Substation projects
