Job Summary
Design structural systems for new construction, renovation, and rehabilitation projects including transportation, municipal, healthcare, and commercial facilities. Perform structural calculations, code compliance reviews, and prepare construction drawings, specifications, and reports using Revit and analysis software. Coordinate with architects, civil, and MEP engineers while conducting field investigations and supporting construction activities. Review design documents for accuracy and assist with project scheduling and budgeting. Mentor entry-level engineers while advancing toward project leadership responsibilities. This role is ideal for a structural engineer with 5–10 years of experience ready to take on greater technical responsibility within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
- 5–10 years of structural engineering design experience for commercial, institutional, municipal, transportation, healthcare, higher education, or government facilities
- Experience designing structural systems in steel, concrete, masonry, and/or timber
- Proficiency with Revit and structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, ETABS, RISA, or similar)
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes including IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE standards
- Experience preparing engineering calculations and construction documents
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- EIT certification required
