Job Summary
Lead structural project teams and perform design of structural engineering assignments for heavy industrial projects. Responsibilities include developing conceptual layouts and cost studies, producing preliminary designs and detailed calculations, preparing bid packages, coordinating with multi-discipline teams throughout design and construction, and ensuring designs meet codes, specifications, and client needs while managing budgets and schedules. Requirements include a Bachelor or Master of Science in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (PE/SE nice to have) and at least 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with proficiency in STAAD or Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, and knowledge of IBC/ASCE/AISC/ACI; strong problem-solving, mentoring, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- ABET-accredited degree in Structural Engineering (Bachelor or Master of Science)
- At least 10 years of structural engineering experience
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, Tekla)
- Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and Revit)
- Knowledge of IBC and related standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI)
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor other engineers
- Experience leading structural project teams
