Job Summary
Senior Structural Engineer will lead design efforts for all types of structural projects, including new construction, repairs/renovations, and forensic investigations. Responsibilities include leading projects, assessing existing conditions and budgets, writing detailed technical proposals and reports, supervising staff, reviewing project documents for conformity and QA, and developing new techniques or improved processes. Requires an engineer with 8+ years of building technologies experience and a PE license; familiarity with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber construction and building code requirements; strong communication skills; and experience with standard engineering software. The position reports to the Principal in charge of the Structural Department and involves leading design efforts, budget/schedule reviews, and client/agency communications.
Required Qualifications
- Engineer with 8+ years of experience in building technologies with a PE license
- Familiar with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber construction and building code requirements
- Strong written and oral communication skills and experience with standard engineering software
